Windows 64bit version (XP/Vista/7)

Client Manager does not support 64bit version Windows.
In otder to use this product in 64bit environment, it is required to install the device driver based on the steps below after installing the client manager.


 
1 Installing Driver
If the wireless LAN adapter is connected without installing driver to the computer, install withard for driver will pop up, so complete the installation based on the instruction.

Windows 7 64bit version
 

1. Open [Device Manager].

Right click [802.11n WLAN] from [Other Devices] and click [Update Driver Software...]
 

2. Select the driver search location
Click [Browse my computer for driver software]
 


3. Select the wireless LAN adapter driver
Select the location depending on the purpose of using wireless LAN adapter, and click [Next]


  • Normal Driver: This is the driver to connect Wi-Fi supported game machine to the internet.
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\ClientManager\Driver\VISTA64_WIN
  • Driver for XLink Kai: This is the dirver to to use when playing game with XLink Kai

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\ClientManager\Driver\VISTA64_XLINK

4. Security Permission
Click [Install this driver software anyway] and continue to install.


 

During installation, the below window will be shown. Please wait for a while.
 


5. Installation completed
When the below window is shown, the installation is completed. Click [Close] and close window.


 
After completing the driver installation, restart the computer when asked to restart the computer.


Windows Vista 64bit version
 

1. Installation
Driver installation for the detected device will be required after connecting wireless LAN adapter to PC.
Click [Locate and install driver software (recommended)]



If the install window does not pop up or it is cancelled, the installation can be started with the below steps.
 
Start 「Device Manager」

Right click [802.11 n WLAN] from [Other Devices] and click [Update Driver Software]
 

Click [Browse my computer for driver software]
 

Click [Browse my computer for driver software (advanced)]
 
After here, complete all followed by the step 3. Select the wireless LAN adapter driver

2. Select the driver search location
Click [I don't have the disc, Show me other options.]



Click [Browse my computer for driver software]



3. Select the wireless LAN adapter driver
Select the location depending on the purpose of using wireless LAN adapter, and click [Next]


  • Normal Driver: This is the driver to connect Wi-Fi supported game machine to the internet.
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\ClientManager\Driver\VISTA64_WIN
  • Driver for XLink Kai: This is the dirver to to use when playing game with XLink Kai

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\ClientManager\Driver\VISTA64_XLINK

4. Security Permission
Click [Install this driver software anyway] and continue to install.


 

During installation, the below window will be shown. Please wait for a while.
 


5. Installation completed
When the below window is shown, the installation is completed. Click [Close] and close window.


 
After completing the driver installation, restart the computer when asked to restart the computer.


Windows XP 64bit Version
 

1. Starting the searching withard for new hardware
After connecting wireless LAN adapter to PC, the new hardware search withard will start.
For the connection of Windows Update, select [No,not this time] and click [Next].


 

2. Select the installation method
Select [Install from a list or specifiec location (Advanced)] and click [Next].


 

3. Select the wireless LAN adapter driver
Select [Search for the best driver in the these locations.] and tick [Include this location in the search.] and select the location for wireless LAN adapter driver and click [Next]


  • Driver for Windows XP 64bit:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\PLANEX ClientManager\Driver\XP64_WIN

4. Security Permission
Click [Continue Anyway] and continue to install.


 

During the installation, the below window will be shown. Please wait for a little while.


 

5. Installation
When the below window is shown, the installation is completed. Click [Finish] and close window.


 
After installign the driver, please restart the computer when asked to restart the computer.


 
2 Deleting The Driver
For deleting the driver of wireless LAN adapter, follow the steps below.
  1. Connect wireless LAN adapter to the computer.
  2. Start the device manager.
  3. Select [GW-USMicroN] from the group of [Network Adapter] and right click.
  4. Click [Uninstall].
  5. Tick [Delete the driver software for this device.] from [Comfirm Device Uninstall] and click [OK]
When using Windows Vista
When connecting Wi-Fi supported game machine to the internet and playing games with XLink Kai, it is required to install the supported driver because the connection mode is differ from each other. For switching the connection mode of wireless LAN adapter, delete the driver already installed and re-install another driver.
 
After deleting the driver, please restart the computer when asked to do so.
